I believe that becoming a Christian is like enrolling in college – for the rest of your life. We have to declare our major, and our major is the Bible. While we minor in other areas, the Bible should be our main focus. 

True Bible Study only happens when we open the pages of scripture with an attitude that says “God, what are you going to show me today that will correct my error?” Verse by verse, chapter by chapter, book by book, we dig in to learn what God has for us, but first and foremost we need to understand what the author meant when he wrote down these words. Context is crucial; historically, linguistically, culturally and Biblically.
